Saturday 9th December saw our most recent beginners groups of ‘graduate’ by completing the 5k Colwick parkrun.
The Monday and Thursday evening beginners groups combined and ran together to mark the occasion. The Tuesday Chilwell group are planning a similar graduation run at Beeston parkrun next Saturday, 16th December.
We were very pleased with the number of people who came along, especially given the conditions – the temperature barely got above 0ºC!
There are some photos from the event which might give you some idea of how cold it was.
We were equally impressed with how quickly everyone got round – perhaps they all just wanted to get home and warm up!
We would also like to thank all the Rebel Runners who came along to support the beginners on their first parkrun – support is even more valuable when it’s as cold as that. Did we mention it was cold?
We will be welcoming new beginners again early in January. If you would like to know more about the course then you can read about it here.
