Robin Hood Marathon – call for volunteers

Would you like to be part of the Rebel Runners support crew at the Robin Hood events?

After the success of last year we are again looking for a team of volunteers to help out on 24th September. We did such a good job last year that we have been approached by the organisers to again cover the start/finish area.

This will make it a long day. It involves covering the start zones, getting runners into the correct zones, moving them up to the start line, marshalling nearby crossing points, marshalling the mini-marathon and final road stretch of the full marathon. Last years helpers had a great time and for any runners it’s great to see your smiley faces on the day, you feel like a VIP.

The club will be rewarded financially for our help. The more volunteers, the more we earn. This will benefit the club by allowing us to train more run leaders.
